What is an apprentice?

An apprentice is someone employed by a company in a specific role. As an apprentice you will learn ‘on-the-job’. This may mean that you go to college on day release or undertake all of your training at work – it varies depending on your role and your employer.

There are three levels of apprenticeship in total, which include the Level 2 Intermediate Apprenticeship, the Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship and the Level 4 Higher Apprenticeship (a university-level qualification). The level of apprenticeship you do will depend on previous qualifications and experience and the type of industry you will work in.

What Apprenticeships Standards do you offer?

• L2 Site Carpentry
